Baby doll dresses and tops are made of empire waist and looses down to the hips. It’s like a common missy wardrobe that makes one look pregnant when she is not. It’s a style that has been in the fashion world since the 60’s and 70’s and has been revived in the early 90’s. Women look attractive in baby doll dresses and tops as most of it comes in sleeveless, spaghetti straps or Sabrina sleeves. The attractiveness is derived mostly from the neckline and shoulder line but starting from under the bust, the clothes starts to loosen down to the hips.

An alternative way to look sexy yet feminine is to use black lace fabric. 

Essentially, there are multitudes of ways in which you can look great in plus size evening wear. In the end, it’s really up to how you understand your body shape, and how you pick the dress that helps to accentuate your curves and camouflage the bulges.

I agree with the other review that if this isn’t working for you, you probably have the wrong size. I was skeptical but it hid my post-baby bulges for a recent wedding & was very comfortable. I did wear additional underpants with it because without them, it gave me a wedgie.

5 Stars Does what it says
This is not a corset or anything, it’s only meant to smooth what you already have. I have not had any problems with it sliding down at all. If anyone is having this problem, they are probably wearing a size too big!

I will definitely be getting the thong version next. While I do love what it does for me when I’m wearing jeans (no muffin top!), The panty lines are obvious when I’m wearing something more clingy and light.

These are great for jeans and other every day wear. If you’re thinking about something for a special occasion, get the thong or mid-thigh versions!

1 Star Hi Rise Constantly Slides Down
I had high hopes for this to cure my “muffin-top”, but sadly it doesn’t stay under the bust ~ it keeps sliding down. Very frustrating! I wouldn’t recommend it.

I purchased this item in hopes that it would help me keep my midriff in check. I had been working out and had just a little bulge. Everytime I sit down this becomes a bikini, it rolls completely down my stomach. Its very expensive and does not stay in place as advertised. I bought another one a size larger, same thing happened, it does not meet my needs.

4 Stars Super Cincher!
I have this in black. It does a great job holding my muffin top in so I don’t have that bulge over my jeans. I read the other reviewer said it slipped down to her navel constantly. I did not have trouble. Yes, it slipped just a tad occasionally, but usually when I’d been bending over to pick up my toddler. Perhaps she had the wrong size. I highly recommend it and am actually here to buy another in nude!
