Art is a creative expression and nobody should change someone’s creative expression but the artist themselves. Let’s talk about eating disorders. Eating disorders are characterized by an abnormal obsession with food and weight. Eating disorders are much more noticed in women than in men. This can be attributed to the fact that society is seen to put an emphasis on women to be thin, and men to be ‘bulked up’. This can lead to pressure on women to be ‘picture perfect’, and an eating disorder prevails as a result of stress of not being able to reach unattainable goals related to this ‘picture perfect’ ideal. Researchers who study eating-disordered thoughts and behaviors suggest that the media, womens magazines in particular, may play a role in triggering these practices.The body image I use is for all of the plus size or fat people out in the world to feel better about themselves. The reason I choose that is because you can’t exclude a majority of people out of the media. If you look around you, you will see a lot of people who don’t look like super models out there in the world. I’m sure you have thick, plus size or fat people in your family or have them as friends and I’m sure they want somebody to look up to. I want those same people to look at …
